It is an undeserved privilege to allow him an education while in jail and should be in no way considered a reason for a criminal’s release. I do believe 30 years behind bars will change a man and I do not believe in the case it has changed him for the better. He will always be a murder. In reviewing countless reports and information I have never seen any documentation supporting remorse or an apology for the murder of Officer Harold Hamilton. What I would also like you to realize is that my Father who encouraged Harold to join the police force, has felt deeply responsible for his death and the division this has caused between our families will be with him for the rest of his life. This is in no way something that can be repaired and has forever more changed and divided loved ones, I have lost a family due to the inexcusable act of Anthony Bottom. He killed my Fathers Brother and was responsible for the bombing of his funeral that intended to kill Police Officer Harold Hamilton's entire family. Despite the current petition for the release of Anthony Bottom ex member of the Black Liberation Army, I strongly urge you to sign this counter petition to keep him behind bars for the rest of his life for the murder of SF Police officer Harold Hamilton. No man should be let free for such a hennas and premeditated act. On October 22, 1970 we believe Anthony also was responsible for planting a bomb during the funeral precessions for Police Officer Harold Hamilton outside St. Brendan's church is San Francisco intending to harm or kill the family and fellow Officers.
