As Salaam A.

With the greetings of peace i say "all power to poor and oppressed people during these hard economic times we are all faced with. The whole concept and dialectical theory that the Black Panther Party exproused reveal the contradictions in this society today. While the times we live in today is a different era still things are reversing themselves morally ,spiritually, and economically. In retrospect i never met Chairman Fred personally but i've been near his presence as i lived and walked past the Ill. chapter of the Black Panther Party at 2350 w. Madison street. I lived on the next street over on Warren blvd. I knew many Panthers. I went to school with some , while others were family members.I became influnced by the Party in 1969. I was a senoir in high school ,and as i was on my way to school early on Dec.4th,69 i was informed that Chairman Fred had been killed and it was a shock to me .I could never bring myself to view inside the house that Fred died in. It was to emotional for me [even today 40 years later]. The house is gone but for many years it laid dormant and to me it was a horror house. After i began College in 1970 i became a community worker with the Party and a cadre member in '72. Over recent years i have developed several scrapbook and photo albums of the Black Panther Party and have copy of official press release from the Minisrty of Information of the Ill. chapter of B.P.P. on the assasination of Fred Hampton.Lets not also forget the survivors of the violent attack on other party members. They also dedicated their life as chairman Fred to the struggle and liberation of the people. Peace.
