This photo of Lennar Regional Vice President Kofi Bonner decrying Proposition F’s mandate that half of any new homes Lennar builds be affordable was published in the San Francisco Business Times on May 30, 2008, four days before the June 3 election. The caption reads: “Bonner will recommend Lennar drop the Hunters Point project if Prop. F passes.” Lennar spent $5 million to overcome Prop F’s initial large lead and defeat it, despite the urgent need for affordable housing and the San Francisco General Plan’s 64 percent affordable housing goal.
