I have so had enough of Enough, which has co-opted the name of countless activist organizations, including our own Bayview Hunters Point (BVHP) ENOUGH. When Chouchou Namegabe Nabintu came to testify before Barbara Boxer's committee within the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, she said that she had talked to "Mr. Prendergrast," of ENOUGH, and I said "Oh yeah, lotta good that's gonna do." At the turn of last year, Friends of the Congo was asking its members to write to Barack Obama about Congo, and I wrote, but I don't think we mustered even 50 signatures by the time ENOUGH had many thousands. They seem to be almost as influential as the SAVE DARFUR Coalition, which similarly promotes U.S. foreign policy. Excellent piece.
