Thank you for this story. It is a disgrace! I visited a friend at WSPF (“Wisconsin Secure Prison Facility”), the supermax in Boscobel, WI, and it was a visit for an hour, via video screen! For ´safety reasons´, the video was placed behind glass! And indeed there is so much racism going on behind the walls, which alone can make someone burned up of anger, it is surely the saddest place on earth.

Penology calls ad-seg and SHUs “control units.” Really, that’s all we need to know about their purpose. It surely has nothing to do with rehabilitation — and the word “rehabilitation” in the department’s name has become frighteningly Orwellian as they shut down large portions of the meager programming there was to begin with. This summer’s riot at Chino was just a preview of coming distractions!

Finally somebody is calling attention to those sub-human, perverted, sadistic condition that excist in California prisons. The prisons are run by perverts and sadist with no feeling for human live. The root of the problems are the politions who are making money out of those conditions. Each person is guarantied income for a long list of profitiers who have monopolized the prison system for a long time. The conditions are worcer then Concentration camps of WWII and the prison under Stalin in Eastern Europe. I don’t understand why this is not brought to the attention of the Human Rights Commissions in the United Nations. America has the most disgracefull prison system of any civilized nation in the world.
