There is no doubt that Darryl is a special man. Publishing his book was an honor for me, because I truly do know D and having his respect is a personal joy.

At Havenscourt Jr. High School I was a student in the Gifted And Talented Program (GATE). Lil D was one of the few members of this elite group of academic students who was ahead of his class. He was so talented intellectually that he was literally ahead of his class by two semester grades. I was always impressed by his unique perspective on advanced topics during our study and discussion periods. Society is truly lacking an individual that could have contributed so much to society if he was not imprisoned and could have went down a another path. I am glad to see that he is giving back to society even before he is released from prison. It makes me sad to think that our world would be in a better place if we did not support the prison industrial complex.
