The only real "clean" energy, as you put it, is nuclear. What you are referring to is wind and solar which are impractical replacements for fossil fuels. Spain had a disaster with this "clean energy economy" with 2.2 real jobs lost for every green job created. That's what happens in command and control economies: grotesque waste.

Your use of the oil-soaked pelican — it's the same old guilt trip that environmentalists have used for decades. You're a consumer; feel guilty for your prosperity; think of the polar bears and pelicans; but most of all: we need more government to save us. Such a shame religious pastors are defecting to the new green religion en mass. Forget the bible, how about a little Gaia worship anyone?
