To the sisters of Troy Davis: I bow to your love and support for your brother. I just lost my oldest brother last month from cancer. I lost my baby brother some years ago and also my second oldest brother. No one knows the pain of losing a sibling that is so loved. My brothers were so very loving and supportive to me and all their sisters. I just want you to know that I share your pain and have such respect for you.

I am so sorry !!! I am heart broken, i prayed that God would intervene and I am sure He did. Davis is out of pain, and out of the reach of his enemies . May his soul rest in eternal peace. I have no capacity to judge anyone but this much i know , the truth will be found. Let the execution of Davis serve as a lesson to humble us, that human beings are so limited.

I will never be the same since I watched in horror as Georgia executed Troy Davis. Tim Roth made a valiant effort to save Troy. He got many of us, who may have never heard about Troy, involved in the campaign to save his life. No words can express the sorrow I feel for Troy and his family. Yesterday was a day of hope, and finally despair; when the courts, with the swift stroke of a pen, ended Troy's life. I want you to know Troy did not die in vain. I was a proponent of the death penalty, until I watched this injustice unfold. I will never forget #TroyDavis, he has changed my opinion on the death penalty. Hopefully I am one of many who have been enlightened by this travesty. My love and prayers to Martina, Kimberly and their families. RIP Troy Davis, you will not be forgotten.

If Troy Davis is executed, the USA will have to look in the mirror on September 22nd. It should be a national day of mourning. Because it will be a national day of disgrace. No one should go to work. No one should go shopping. People should wear black and carry signs in the street. Even Pontius Pilate offered to save the life of Jesus. But the American Empire is now less humane than the Roman Empire that killed Christ.

My thoughts are with you and your family. Troy's story breaks my heart and is an injustice to human rights everywhere. I still am holding out hope that someone will intervene. It is outrageous to me that Troy's appeals were denied multiple times given the recanted testimonies. If the system executes Troy, then the system has failed us all and none of us are safe.

I'm ashamed to call myself a citizen of this state when it has the free rein to murder an innocent man, with no apparent checks-and-balances system in play. We have made calls and written letters, in vain. We've been told the governor can't do anything, the President can't do anything, and that the DA can't withdraw the death warrant. I just don't understand.
To the family of #TroyDavis: Please know that there are thousands upon thousands of us who have campaigned for Troy to be saved. I am truly heartsick that nothing we've done has helped but we won't stop until he is either granted clemency or the state gets their way,God forbid. Our thoughts and prayers are with you, and please, if you get to speak again to Troy, let him know that WE know the truth and we care.

I have called the Governor's office, and was told he has no power to overturn the Parole Board. I just found the DA's number, and I will call in the morning. I read Chisolm's statement that he has no say in the matter either. Doesn't make sense to me. How can they give 5 members of a Parole Board the right to decide Troy's fate? I just want Troy and his family to know how many of us care, and are horrified that Troy may be executed tomorrow. There are many supporters on Twitter. Our hearts and prayers go out to Troy and his family. I'm so sorry, it's just not right! #TroyDavis #TooMuchDoubt
