Win a $21,000 scholarship!

Principles , counselors, teachers, parents and everyone who knows some young people, don’t let our children miss out on this great opportunity to win a $21,000 scholarship.

Bayview Hunters Point, there are winners in our community. Let’s go to our schools and find them.

The Lions’ 76th Annual Student Speakers Contest is open to all high school or junior high school, home school, charter school, private school, independent study and foreign exchange students in grades 9-12 who will still be in school until June 1, 2013.

This year’s topic is: How Do We Create and Keep Jobs in America?

For the 76th consecutive year, the Lions Clubs of California will hold speech contests in local communities beginning in February 2013. Over $103,500 will be paid out in scholarships to the winning students. Participating students must write their own speech on the subject given.

Scholarships: 15 district winners receive $4,500 each, four area winners receive $11,000 each, and one final winner receives $21,000. Additional cash awards will be made to region, zone and club winners.

The scholarship contest is sponsored by Multiple District Four California Lions.
