Before you criticize me I have first hand knowledge of how STG validation and step down programs work so please don't trash my comments. The most important ingredient for success is to be open minded, flexible, patient and understanding of the process that takes place. You can't change the culture overnight and you certainly don't expect the CDCR to give up its responsibilities for running safe and secure prisons everywhere. This SDP is imporant enough to wait and see what develops. Tell your family members incarcerated that hope is only as strong as the faith put into the light of change.. They know what that means. This could bring them out of the darkness if they accept the responsibilities required to participate and conduct themselves according to program expectations without exception. Its a long process and is based on their (STG) ability to conform, to comply and to change their way of thinking and action. Thank you

Making comments or inferences on pending programs is negative and not productive ~ this step down program is an intricate process that allows human beings second chances but with safe parameters to do it right. We should give the CDCR opportunities to continue remaking or revising their policies in order to find the safest methods to accomplish such tasks and project. Positivity will encourage positive participation and will prepare those eligible for good things in the end by stepping down a custody level and again be free to move around, have visits and cope with open yards rather than the SHU. Now is not the time to be pessimistic or doubtful of intent or good faith. Progress is being made and its being criticized.. Give the process a chance and hope for a better future.
