Hi Tiny,
Thanks for bringing this great forum to Plaza East. Actually, I grew up in Plaza East aka OC aka Outta Countrol. Lived there from birth until we were displaced when I was 20 attending college at UC Davis. Queenandi and I played together a lot when we were kids. I miss those days.
Although there was crime and violence, we had good people around us, including my grandmother who raised me there. I know what it feels like to be po' and neglected because I lived it; food stamps, free food, welfare, old worn out cloths, neglect and hopelessness. If elected Supervisor, my folks will not be forgotten. They are the people that raised me and made me who I am today. Those mamas and aunties in plaza east. The time to change our communtiy for the better is now. It starts with electing someone from the community, by the community and for the community. Our time is now!
