We support our troops … but why fight and die for white supremacy?

by Joe (A’Jene) Valentine

“I helped make Mexico safe for American oil interests in 1914. I helped make Haiti and Cuba a decent place for the National City Bank boys to collect revenue in. I helped purify Nicaragua for the international banking house of Brown Brothers…. I brought light to the Dominican Republic for American sugar interests in 1916. I helped make Honduras ‘right’ for American fruit companies in 1903. Looking back on it, I might have given Al Capone a few hints.” – Marine Gen. Smedly D. Butler

Black-military-recruitment-graphic-on-black-collegian.com_, We support our troops … but why fight and die for white supremacy?, News & Views Now let me make it most clear that where Gen. Butler remarked that “I helped make Mexico safe … I helped make Haiti and Cuba a decent place … I helped purify Nicaragua” etc., he is admitting that as a soldier – tool and fool of those who rule as are popos and K9s too – he understood and realized that it was the designed function of the U.S. military to in fact promote and protect the business and financial interests – e.g., foreign land holdings, mining operations, banking firms et al – of wealthy and powerful white men of Amerika, i.e., to make the world bow down to the gangster ruling class.

We call him a U.S. general, leader of the so-called “honorable” and “brave,” but where is there true honor to be found in being the killers for the dishonorable rulers who rob us here and others abroad? Marines informing the world that “the few, the proud, the Marines” – like the “Army strong” and Navy, that pseudo “force for good,” according to the propaganda – are the brutal enforcers and triggers of the super-rich and powerful who exploit and oppress people across the earth to control and profit off their natural resources, cheap labor and raw materials to this day, 2012.

Now, is that what y’all mean and have in mind by the indifferent and racist slogan: “We support our troops”? Do you support the domination and murderous repression of people in Haiti, Iraq, Columbia, Guatemala etc. in order that U.S. corporations and financial firms – Wall Street thugs – can accumulate capital via controlling and exploiting the oil, gas, cobalt, tin, cotton, diamonds, coal, fruit et al of other people trapped in slums?

If not, are you one who supports the troops by telling them the truth – not the self-serving lies drilled in their heads by the military as to their actual role as the pawns of gangstaz? Just how brave is a soldier who dares not refuse to be a killer for Amerikan imperialism?

Does “We support our troops” mean you support the domination and murderous repression of people in Haiti, Iraq, Columbia, Guatemala etc. in order that U.S. corporations and financial firms – Wall Street thugs – can accumulate capital via controlling and exploiting the oil, gas, cobalt, tin, cotton, diamonds, coal, fruit et al of other people trapped in slums?

He may say he’s fighting for and defending “our freedom”? What? The freedom to exploit, the freedom to foreclose homes and force people into the streets, the freedom to eliminate jobs and force folks into poverty, the freedom to deny people free quality medical care and an education, the damn freedom to deny women equal pay and to micro-manage our entire community? Hoods have long ago been “validated” for purposes of low-intensity warfare – our people entombed by the hundreds of thousands.

Do you support the troops by demanding of them to leave the military or refuse to bomb and slaughter innocent people – “bug splat” is the new Pentagon term – for CEOs, stockholders, board members such as Colin Powell, financial agencies and corporate owners? Or is it, as I suspect the case to actually be, that you simply “go along with the flow,” since in your racism you really don’t care what the military is involved or complicit in as long as you enjoy the leftover scraps thrown your way after the ruling class hyenas have scavenged third-world folks?

Do you support the troops by demanding of them to leave the military or refuse to bomb and slaughter innocent people?

“I don’t know what they would have done if Sept. 11 hadn’t occurred. Either they would have done nothing or they would have to invent another pretext.” – U.S. Ambassador to Germany John Kornblum

I often hear prison guards – yep, I’m a brotha from Watts Nickerson Gardens who has now been entombed 31 years due to a criminal colonial mentality or our foes’ twisted ethos – refer to politicians as a “bunch of liars and crooks.” The vast majority in this society conceive of and complain that most politicians are “untrustworthy” and “corrupt.”

Black-332nd-Fighter-Group-attends-briefing-Italy-1945, We support our troops … but why fight and die for white supremacy?, News & Views As those who are interested in justice and truth know, W. Bush II, Condoleezza Rice, Dick Cheney, Donald Rumsfeld and Colin Powell deliberately lied regarding the claim that Saddam Hussein of Iraq possessed WMDs, while only hardcore delusional racist idiots conveniently believed there were WMDs in Iraq. The reality is, the oil clique of the White House had long ago formulated plans for the invasion of Iraq in order to regain control of its oil and natural gas and required a convincing pretext to launch a military campaign designed to pursue and advance the interests of Exxon-Mobil, BP, Chevron, Halliburton et al.

We thus have clear proof of illegal aims – i.e., a criminal conspiracy – being carried out against Iraq, which as anticipated resulted in the premeditated murder and maiming of hundreds of thousands of Iraqis – men, women and children – and that isn’t counting the million children who succumbed due to U.S. sanctions. Similarly, “Obama’s drama” policies are responsible for droning to death children in Afghanistan and Pakistan while he and his daughters celebrate Father’s Day.

As most are aware, the slogan “Operation Iraqi Liberation” was initially chosen by the Bush gang to represent the U.S. military invasion of Iraq. The reason this slogan was later discarded for the slogan “Operation Iraqi Freedom” was because the Bush gang realized that their actual motives to control the oil of Iraq would be made more blatant.

The Bush gangster clique was bent on exploiting the 9-11 attacks by cells of Al Qaeda, once financed, trained and armed by the CIA in order to put into operation a grand geo-political and military strategy for reconquest of the Middle East. Remember, Saddam’s regime had nationalized Iraq’s oil and natural gas.

Although the common narrative which is propagated regarding the 9-11 attacks is of course one which would have us believe that the World Trade Center, U.S. Capitol and Pentagon somehow represent the interests of American citizens and are supposedly neutral – “innocently motivated” in the sense of being apolitical – the truth is these were targeted not only because they represent the symbols of U.S. global exploitation (e.g., the WTC), political oppression (e.g., the U.S. Capitol guiding dictators like Mubarak of Egypt) and violent domination (e.g., Pentagon policies and practices), but also because they represent the national entities in which economic, political and military policies are formulated and emanate to negatively impact the lives of millions, from the Middle East to Africa and Latin America.

Buffalo-Soldiers-of-the-25th-Infantry-Regiment-1890, We support our troops … but why fight and die for white supremacy?, News & Views To my mind, there is no logical possibility to ever fairly conceive of and portray the WTC, Pentagon and U.S. Capitol as “innocent,” since their very existence and function are predicated upon calculations aimed towards pursuing and promoting the material and financial interests of the white male supremacist imperialist ruling class and that of subordinate Third World junior mafias.

Here’s a logical question: Are there any U.S. citizens who are not … “innocent”? I mean, since the claim is invariably made by politicians that those attacked in this country or in any part of the world are “innocent victims” of “terrorism,” doesn’t this claim, then, logically suggest that absolutely no American citizen – remember that in their “wisdom” the U.S. Supreme Court ruled that corporations are “persons” – is guilty of economic, political, military and racist terrorism across the globe?

If you’re intelligent enough to accept that in truth there are forces in the U.S. who are the actual culprits committing global crimes, why haven’t these forces been identified and punished? If people in Amerika naively go on deluding themselves into believing that there are no forces in this country who are involved in horrendous acts of violence – e.g., economic, political and military violence – throughout the world, obviously the required conditions for critical reflection in order to discover resolutions in favor of justice won’t materialize. In other words, it shall mean that blood and death on all sides will be the perpetual order of the day, which I hope is a reality decent moral folks would not be inclined to simply accept like passive and fearful lambs trained for conformity?

Will blood and death on all sides be the perpetual order of the day?

Instead of a search for truth and a sense of justice for those who are harmed by U.S. imperial policies, the reaction of the majority in America is, “We will never forget.” Many are of “Black face White mask” as to their souls being slaves to White values and world views rooted in the notion of a right to world domination, expressed as “American exceptionalism” and “manifest destiny.”

“(L)et us turn now to the most elementary principle of just war theory, universality. Those who cannot accept this principle should have the decency to keep silent about matters of right and wrong or ‘just’ war. If we can rise to this level, some obvious questions arise: For example, have Cuba and Nicaragua been entitled to set off bombs in Washington, New York and Miami in self-defense against ongoing terrorist attack? Particularly so when the perpetrators are well known and act with complete impunity, sometimes in brazen defiance of the highest international authorities, so that cases are so far clearer than Afghanistan? If not, why not? Certainly one cannot appeal to the scale of crimes to justify such a stand; the merest look at the factual record bars that move.” – Noam Chomsky, “Hegemony or Survival,” p. 202

U.S.-Colored-Troops-comprised-175-regiments-from-1863-in-Civil-War-1-10th-of-Union-Army, We support our troops … but why fight and die for white supremacy?, News & Views Well, what a very revealing slogan – “We will never forget” – since I’m willing to bet that most of those who feel this way are also the very same people who refuse to remember and insist that we forget the genocide of Native Americans and the outright theft of their land. For y’all who support Israel on the basis that the Jewish people supposedly have a historical and legal right to the land taken by terrorism, where is your support for Native Americans’ right to regain their land? Nor is there any remembrance for so-called “Afrikan-Americans” who endured a slavery holocaust and the morbid brutality of “Crowing Jim.”

Hell, most in this permanently racist and hypocritical country refuse to even engage in healthy dialogue regarding the ongoing cruel oppression of Native Americans nor that of the lasting negative effects (Africide) of slavery on Black people in terms of the economic, social, political and psychological devastation (Afrisogony) still endured in 2012. By the way, where is the “National Day of Remembrance” (anniversary) for the millions of human lives eliminated due to Amerika’s domination, exploitation and oppression of Native Americans and so-called “Afrikan-Americans?”

Where is the “National Day of Remembrance” for the millions of human lives eliminated due to Amerika’s domination, exploitation and oppression of Native Americans and so-called “Afrikan-Americans?”

Naturally, since we cannot realistically ever expect to see this nation pay deserved respect – that is our duty, not our foe’s – to the memory of Native Americans and so-called “Afrikan-Americans” who perished and suffered by the terrorism of the U.S. government and this country’s White “loving Christians,” the millions pulverized in Laos, Vietnam, Korea and throughout Africa and South and Central America at the damn hands of this “great nation” certainly don’t have a chance in hell in ever persuading this country to show their murdered due respect by appealing to the “moral conscience” of this empire.

“What we wanted to do was have a terror campaign, to terrify Arbenz particularly, terrify his troops, much as the German Sluka bombers terrified the populations of Belgium, Holland and Poland at the onset of World War II and just rendered everybody paralyzed.” – CIA Agent Howard Hunt

No more “Buffalo Soldier Boys” and “Tuskegee Air Boys” fighting and killing for White supremacy and against world Afrikan liberation under the banner of that iniquitous flag, Old Glory, which rivals Nazi Germany’s Swastika in its repugnant infamy. Don’t be a blind fool.
