They tried to kill Malcolm again the other day

Malcolm-Shabazz-with-Malcolm-X-portrait-at-LA-Sentinel-0710-2-by-LA-Sentinel, They tried to kill Malcolm again the other day, Culture Currents The first time it was in an auditorium
This time they threw him off the top of a building
They are trying to break our spirits
But the truth is you can’t get near it
We don’t die, we multiply
We reload and come back stronger
While you embrace your sickness
And it makes you weaker and weaker
Haven’t you noticed the Mighty Ms, the Messiahs
The Malcolms, the Martins, the Muhammads, the Moors
The Mayans, the Marleys, the Meneliks, the Melchizadecs
The Marcus Garveys just keep on coming?
In order to kill us you will have to kill our Gods
And trying to stop the Sun from rising
Or the stars from shining would give you better odds!
You can’t stop Jah Time!
And this is I and I Time! Our time!

If you want to erase black, you are in the wrong universe
For this is a Universe of Color
And we are all carbon units, brother
So it doesn’t matter how big you make your telescopes
Or how powerful you make your microscopes
You are still going to see black
From the blackness of infinite space
To the dark matter in between!
Even when you want to meditate
And seek enlightenment like Buddha
You have to close your eyes and go through black
Or when you want to sleep and dream and refresh yourself
You have to close your eyes and go back to black!
Going back to nature is going back to black
Blackness is the way, the door, the truth!
So don’t be afraid of global warming
Not too long ago, before the coming of the ice age
And the ice people, only black people roamed the earth
And the only gateway for a soul to enter the world
Was through the black woman! And that time shall come again
As the whole planet becomes a tropical island
So we rejoin and rejoice in the Orisha Family right now
We are the Orishas and the Orishas are us
We are the Super Heroes and Herus
Gods and Goddesses we’ve been waiting for
And we will have our paradise!
