Literacy for Environmental Justice seeks Development Director and Community Programs Manager

 

Literacy for Environmental Justice is hiring! LEJ promotes ecological health, environmental stewardship, and community development in Southeast San Francisco by creating urban greening, eco-literacy, community stewardship and workforce development opportunities that directly engage and support local residents in securing a healthier future.

 

Development Director

 

The Development Director will:

1) lead and coordinate individual donor fundraising, in conjunction with Board Members, the Executive Director, and Staff;

2) Collaborate with Staff and Grantwriting Consultant to complete grants and contracts reporting compliance and applications; and

3) conduct financial planning and management related to these preceding work areas at a time of steady organizational growth.

 

Community Programs Manager

 

The Community Programs Manager will design, lead, and support the implementation of our public engagement programs at a time of steady organizational growth and development. The position will manage programs that connect marginalized youth and other San Franciscans with nature by getting their ‘hands on the land’ through experiential environmental education, service-learning, habitat stewardship, outdoor recreation, and ‘green-collar’ workforce development for upwards of 600 mainly low-income youth of-color and 500 volunteers annually.
