It should be obvious by now that the U.S.-U.N., E.U., OAS and various hired paramilitary police have engineered a second fraudulent election in as many years in Haiti. This latest attempt to kill Haiti’s freedom by aborting her dreams of democracy via the electoral process was designed to prevent landslide victories by Fanmi Lavalas, reminiscent of the presidential victories of Jean Bertrand Aristide. The U.S. and U.N. do not want to see this.

If Haiti had friends in the U.S. Congress, they would ask the Obama administration to support human rights for the U.N. cholera victims and to put an end to the fictitious elections, ever since the United States started its direct occupation of Haiti by disenfranchising 10 million Haiti voters on Feb. 29, 2004.

Have we sold our souls by turning a blind eye to...

Be wary of the attempts to get folks to buy into a concept that we once railed against called “preemptive strikes.” When Bush kicked this off, we hit the streets by the thousands. Obama doesn’t use that term, instead he invokes the image of us being in a life and death struggle against “evil terrorists.” As a result, many have checked their conscience at the door.

We support our troops … but why fight and die for...

Does “We support our troops” mean you support the domination and murderous repression of people in Haiti, Iraq, Columbia, Guatemala etc. in order that U.S. corporations and financial firms – Wall Street thugs – can accumulate capital via controlling and exploiting the oil, gas, cobalt, tin, cotton, diamonds, coal, fruit et al of other people trapped in slums?

Don’t be a Buffalo Soldier

"Buffalo Soldiers": Oppressed people given guns and sent out to kill other oppressed people. An old and shameful story that some people, somehow, take pride in. Now that story - and that call - is being revived.
