In a very candid interview with Dr. Boyce Watkins, Nation of Islam leader Minister Louis Farrakhan shared his thoughts about Quentin Tarantino’s “Django Unchained.” He also revealed the greatest attribute of leadership. Amongst many thoughts Min. Farrakhan had about “Django Unchained,” one candid thought he shared was he believes the film could serve as preparation for race war.

My good friend, Brother James Bess, is a political prisoner. Brother James was the minister of the Seattle Chapter of the Nation of Islam for at least 10 years during the 1980s and early 1990s, and was well known and highly respected in Seattle’s Black community. He is coming up for parole review and is asking for support.

In the state of California, 227 people who were juveniles when they were convicted are serving life term prison sentences without the chance to ever re-enter society. Senate Bill 9, the Fair Sentencing for Youth Act, would allow sentence reduction to 25 years to life.
