Amidst the San Francisco Giants’ parade festivities, Sergio Romo, the World Series hero, with a smile that could shame James Franco, parted his jacket to reveal a T-shirt that read, “I just look illegal.” The crowd erupted with joy. Just like in the ninth inning of the final game against the Detroit Tigers, Romo delivered the goods.

The America’s Cup World Series could be the second world series in San Francisco within a year’s time in that the San Francisco Giants might be in Major League Baseball’s World Series. The Giants have more in common with the Bay than McCovey Cove as America’s Cup Oracle Team USA’s Jimmy Spithill throws out the first pitch at the Giants vs. Atlanta Braves game.

Truly opening up economic opportunity could resolve previous injustices – with justice. The problem with crime in the community can be traced to lack of employment opportunities for young adults.
Coleman Medical Center adds more services

In 1960, the late Dr. Arthur H. Coleman founded the Coleman Medical Center at the corner of Third Street and Ingerson. In the tradition of Dr. Coleman and those other professionals who worked so hard to bring quality services to the Bayview, the center continues on with a new group of health care providers who are carrying the torch.
