Corcoran State Prison is a death camp

by Carl F. Harrison

There is no doubt in my mind that Corcoran State Prison is nothing more than a death camp. The prison staff I liken to Hitler’s best. As for truth, justice and the American way, you can forget this at Corcoran. There is no honor or integrity there. I’ve been laughed at by every staff member when I quote the duty and obligation they have to the taxpayers and to America. “Fuck the Constitution” is a quote I often hear.

I am 60 years old, suffer from seizure disorder, hernia, back and hip injury, hearing impairment, obesity, high blood pressure, anxiety disorder and I have had two heart attacks undocumented.

Hunger-Strike-Rally-Corcoran-Prisoners-rights-are-human-rights-071313-by-Karen-Shuster, Corcoran State Prison is a death camp, Abolition Now! Corcoran State Prison has a long history of abusive behavior, as most people are aware. Many prisoners have died as a result of this behavior. What I have learned is that there is a conspiracy at Corcoran Prison to kill off medically problematic aged prisoners.

How? Inside the prison cells there is no proper ventilation system and the electricity is randomly shut off at any time. After a long hot triple digit day of outside heat, the back wall of the cell heats up and heat penetrates inside the cells causing cells to be like an oven.

The warden covers up these facts by using fake temperature testing so that they always come back with a reading of 71 degrees. They only conduct the test at cell doors, when they should test at the back wall at 8:00 through 11:00 p.m.

The entrance and exit of the building is shaped like a cup and the flooring is blacktop, which creates a hothouse effect: 150 degree temperature at the door. Inmates can be made to stand there for up to an hour.

Prisoners can and are ordered to go into this heat regularly.

Although there is a regulation in place that inmates who are heat sensitive do not have to go out into 90 degree plus heat, this rule is regularly ignored. Heat sensitive inmates could be called in the early morning instead for medical, dental or psych appointments so they are not placed into hot temperatures, but this is of no concern.

Why? For example, I was called to an appointment and told if I did not show up I would be given a rule violation. My answer to them was, “Better a rule violation than a box.”

What I have learned is that there is a conspiracy at Corcoran Prison to kill off medically problematic aged prisoners.

In the past 15 years, endless prisoners have suffered strokes, heart attacks or death due to one or all of the problems stated in this document: heat related illnesses.

Heat sensitive prisoners may be ordered to go out into 100 degree temperatures at any time, and an emergency code can be “magically” called so that the inmates are forced to lie down on the hot blacktop for up to an hour or more.

Tell me how easy it is to kill people in a prison like this? Anyone can be bumped off at any time. Accidents do happen, but they are not accidents at Corcoran State Prison.

The most terrible element of this is the mental drama they attach to each situation to inflict higher degrees of mental and emotional trauma, which raises your body temperature higher and places you in the proper setting to suffer.
