Jailhouse Lawyers Speak ECC unanimously voted to answer the call placed out by Komrade Jalil Muntaqim, which was to engage with Prison Lives Matter.
After a JLS member had a lengthy conversation with Komrade Kwame (Shakur), it was determined that in “unity as a body of representatives,” PLM would be serving the national prison movement and community at large with greater strength and impact.

Yes, we would be meeting the challenges of our time. A key member of JLS will serve as a representative on the PLM National Executive Committee. With other key leaders in the current prison movement and those recently liberated, PLM will create and push out political education materials for prisoners and organize important future events.
