Bay Area alert! Did you all know about the Amelia and Adinah show? The twin girls from the Bay with their own Internet show? If you don’t you are missing out. These girls have interviewed plenty of people such as Steph Curry, the boxer Manny Pacquiao and more. Not to mention they are at every popping event in the Bay.
Xion Abiodun: Who are y’all outside of the show, what are your names?
Amelia and Adinah: We are Amelia and Adinah. We’re identical 17 year-old twin tv hosts of our show the Amelia and Adinah show. Last year our show aired for one year with Asiannettv Los Angeles KXLA 44 channel. Currently our show just runs through IG.
Xion Abiodun: What are y’alls interests?
Amelia and Adinah: We like to play video games, read, write and hang out with family.
Xion Abiodun: What is the show called? How did it get its name?
Amelia and Adinah: The show is called the Amelia and Adinah show and it came about from our names.
Xion Abiodun: What is the story behind the creation of the show?
Amelia and Adinah: We created this show because representation matters and having our voices out there to watch our stories and shows, helps us share to the world our lessons and adventures.
Xion Abiodun: What is the show about?
Amelia and Adinah: The show is about the Bay Area lifestyle of normal folks as well as public figures as they share their stories through our chat.
Xion Abiodun: Who are some of the people that y’all have interviewed or some events y’all have covered?
Amelia and Adinah: Steph Curry, Klay Thompson, Draymond Green, Jordan Poole, Kevon Looney, Jonathan Kaminga, JaMychal Green: most of the warriors. At 12 years old, we were part of the Oakland kids designers group that worked and helped design the Curry 6 “Christmas in the town” shoes with Steph and Under Armour shoes.
Some of the people we have interviewed are Boxer Manny Pacquiao, Ice Cube, Too Short, Snoop dogg and more. There are too many to mention with almost 10,000 interviews acquired by age 17. We covered red carpets in Los Angeles for Miss Philippines USA pageants, private artists parties, sports team events and movie premieres.
Xion Abiodun: What are your favorite episodes of the show? What were you covering and why was it your favorite?
Amelia and Adinah: No favorites, every interview is unique and special.
Xion Abiodun: What makes an event or person of interest, when it comes to them or it being on your show (like why do you interview them)?
Amelia and Adinah: We feature them, their cause, their company or just to have them share their stories. Just like the books in the libraries, our chat is just diving into their stories in their lives. We are hoping someone can be inspired by them.
Xion Abiodun: Where and how can we watch the show?
