A testament to the power of community and family bonds, the inaugural Father-Daughter Dance is set to take place thanks to the committed support of esteemed organizations such as Bay Area Zap Zone, Ruth Williams Opera House, Street Violence Intervention Program, the Black Firefighters Association and others.

Scheduled for Sunday, April 14, 2024, starting at 3 p.m., the Father-Daughter Dance promises to be more than just an event; it’s a celebration of fatherhood and the significant role father figures play in shaping young lives.

The event extends its heartfelt gratitude to supporters who recognize the common hero – the father figure who sacrifices for his family. Inspired by a profound sense of community love,

PG, founder of HollyRock AllStars and Bay Area Zap Zone, shares, “I realized it was something our community not only needed but deserved to experience.”

The dance aims to challenge societal narratives and stereotypes while promoting healthier family dynamics. It provides an opportunity for bonding, socialization, and the expression of love and worth between fathers and daughters of all ages, including father figures such as uncles and grandparents. Furthermore, the event serves as a catalyst for ongoing bonding, fostering unity and cohesion within the community. It also addresses and mitigates cowardly acts that leave daughters vulnerable by promoting awareness, education and community engagement.

Notably, the Father-Daughter Dance offers free services for attendees, including 50 hairstyles for those under 18, suits and dresses for 50 attendees, and vouchers for all participants. Additionally, financial assistance is available upon request to further support attendees. For those interested in attending, tickets are available for free on a first-come, first-served basis. Fathers, daughters, and father figures from all walks of life are invited to join this celebration of fatherhood, family, and the beautiful bond between fathers and daughters.
