Tenderloin, San Francisco – Bay View Editor Malik Washington stops by homelessness and workforce development organization Code Tenderloin, meeting and interviewing the much-adored Tina Collins, a case manager for the C.A.R.E. Ambassador Program with Code Tenderloin and Downtown Streets Team. Tina and her coworkers do direct outreach that includes feeding people on the street, organizing clothing drives and engaging with community members to assess and fill immediate needs – all as she herself navigates life after years of homelessness.
