Africans deserve Reparations! ‘Cause, Black Lives Matter!
Blessings of IMANI (faith) beloved, brilliant, bold, brave and beautiful G-o-ds, Elders, Sis-Stars, Bro-Stars And Youthful Revolutionaries!
We greet you from our sacred OHLONE Indigenous, unceded, occupied lands named San Francisco Bay Area, Calif., by the European and usa settlers. Praying that our most high Divine Mother-Father Creator of and in All – and incredible Ancients and Ancestors from past millennia, yesteryears and yesterday – finds you and (y)our extended Family thriving and in healing spirit, loving every life and seeking righteous MA’AT. Amen. Asé.
Honoring a few of our new Ancestors
We honor the recent spiritual transformations of beloved Elder CALVIN “Mr. Bow-legs” CLARK. Amen. Asé. Beloved Bishop ERNESTINE REEMS, who fed and housed so many in our town as founder of Center for Hope Church here in OHLONE aka Oakland. Amen. Asé.
Lifelong friends Queen DEBORAH “Honey Buns” HOLLEY as well as Baba GREGORY “Friday” BROWN. Amen. Asé. Our incredible activist and organizer Baba CURTIS HAYES MUHAMMAD! His “dash” went from working with SNCC and BOB MOSES in Mississippi to major battles in east coast cities to labor organizing and hurricane capitalism relief in Louisiana to supporting our Bolivarian movement led by Ancestor President HUGO CHAVEZ RIOS in Venezuela to environmental justice in Salvador Bahia Brasil. Amen. Asé.
We recognize real deal blood and blues brothers and some of Chicago’s finest musicians, SYL – the “Is It Because I’m Black?” composer and singer – and JIMMY JOHNSON. Amen. Asé.
Finally, we offer sacred condolences to the millions who are perishing or seeking safety from the capitalist-imperialists’ devastating “old and new” terroristic wars – including the current conflicts of the usa/NATO expansionists against Russia and also China – against the people of our world, our health, our environment and the truth – all for greater strategic military advantages and, of course, higher monetary profits. Amen. Asé.
Long live the spirit, legacies and numerous contributions of these new and all our incredible Ancients and Ancestors. Asé. Asé. Asé-o!
Some HERstories and mama wisdom
(Inter)National Women’s Day began in 1908 when tens of thousands of working women rallied in New York for better working conditions, fairer wages and the right to vote. Soon after, the movement, like International Workers’ Day over two decades prior in Chicago, spread to Europe and other parts of our world.
be inspired to envision, organize, mobilize and create true individual and collective enlightenment, empowerment, reparations and full equality and protections for every woman and girl-child
It is now recognized as International Women’s Month – not only a time to honor and reflect on the past struggles and achievements of women and girls, but to be inspired to envision, organize, mobilize and create true individual and collective enlightenment, empowerment, reparations and full equality and protections for every woman and girl-child in the just, non-patriarchal, racism-free, worker-empowered society we are co-creating.
Being that i, like most other males, am a messed-up, recovering Brother trained in sexist, chauvinistic, male “supremacist” terrorist “traditions,” i’ve asked some incredibly brilliant and powerful women leaders that i truly admire, adore, love and learn from constantly to share a lil sumthin’-sumthin’ of their sacred HERstories and mama wisdom supreme.
Let me begin with some powerful words from our beloved Ancestor and Queen Mother ELIZABETH ELIZANN OAKS ARMSTRONG, who graciously – with my Ancestor and Baba CLEVELAND LEE “The Deacon” ARMSTRONG SR. – conceived, nurtured and patiently taught my six brothers, myself and many others the ways of life. Even if we didn’t always listen to, accept or fully comprehend their great wisdom and valuable lessons. Amen. Asé.
She told us: “The amazing thing is that, no matter what these sick white folks have done to us and had us do to each other, we have not only survived, but we have thrived in so many areas.” Also: “It is up to us to dig deep, find and pull out the God that exists in each other. In everybody. Even the most difficult of our people.”
Note: This was somewhat in contrast to my Baba, who would often counsel us that often the best way to handle difficult people was by “Sending their ass to KC!” meaning, “kingdom come.” Amen. Asé.
“On this day, I read critically, think analytically, question ‘leaders,’ acknowledge there is another way forward and pray incessantly . . .”
Queen Mama Marguerite Maria Malloy “is a Jesus-loving, Black grand-mother, sister-friend and attorney who stands with all women and all people who work, walk and reveal truth!
“Onward! Happy International Women’s Day and month! Uplifting each and every spirit, soul, mind, body and vision! Gratitude to the creator, because you are here! This women’s day and month is a gift. The gift is you! You stand on the shoulders of powerful, courageous, generous, loving and visionary women. Those women who came before us made it possible to be in the position to offer gratitude for this day.”
Further, she says: “On this day, I read critically, think analytically, question ‘leaders,’ acknowledge there is another way forward and pray incessantly. I hold as truth that an economic system designed for there to be a bottom and a top is not acceptable. I hold as truth that a political system designed to limit the power of collective representation through redistricting is not acceptable.
“I hold as truth that a nation built by oppressing Indigenous and Black people while proclaiming and legislating that all are created equal has and continues to damage the oppressed and the oppressor. I work to reveal and share these truths. Moreover, I seek to find others who understand these truths and the continuing legacy of these truths and redesign another way forward.”
Queen Mother Marguerite is also a reparationist and the editor of the new book, “The 400 Year Holocaust: White America and Legal Psychopathic and Sociopathic Black Genocide” by Dante D. King. Order a copy at https://www.danteking.com/book.
G-o-d Iya Ibeji Kujichagulia, fka Phavia, is a grand-mama and visionary Pan Afrikanist professor, author, composer, musician, artist and reparationist. Here’s one of her recent compositions, composed during this deadly Coronavirus pandemic.

Queen mama Rev. Dr. Asali Gayle Dickson is a grand-mother, Black Panther Party for Self-Defense alumni, retired pastor of the South Berkeley Community Church, world-renowned artist and reparationist.
“What is my ‘advice’ for our younger generations today? Thank you for the question. Mostly to listen to and follow their heart. Their true calling! In addition, since I am always thinking in terms of unity in our community, I remind them that they are beautiful! That they are individually made like single grains of sand. They are all unique. Whether they’re currently a bean counter or a master artist. Separately, we are just that. Individuals. However, when we come together, we can make an incredible beach. So, let’s seek common ideology, theology, philosophy – to serve humanity and all God’s creations in the sacred ways that benefit all. Amen.”
Beloved Ancestor and Queen Mama JOANNA CHARLENE BOWIE GOLDEN is a powerful spirit and grand-mother, serving as a labor rights organizer, reparationist, righteous realtor and business woman. On Feb. 19, we commemorated seven years since her transformation to the next life.
And, on March 3, we celebrate her sacred b’Earth and arrival day. “No matter what, no matter how difficult it may get, keep it moving honey. It’s not the number of years you live that count most. It’s the life and love you put into the years you’ve been given that truly matters.” i/we miss you so much, Goddess JoGo! Many more to come. Amen. Asé.
