My Brothers and Sisters,

With a heavy heart and a clear message regarding the usage of Artificial Intelligence in our Criminal Justice system, AI threatens to destroy lives, freedom, and families—especially in our Black community.

For too long, the criminal justice system has been a tool to silence Black voices. Courtrooms remain dominated by white males who hold the power to decide our fates. Now, this case before us is not just about one individual—it is a dangerous pilot test. A test that uses AI to reopen cold cases, a technology that risks unfairly targeting and vilifying those who look like us.

This is not just a legal battle.  This is a battle for our families, our dignity, and our very survival!

If the District Attorney wins this case, it will open the floodgates. The next prey of this predator could be any one of us. We must open our eyes wide and refuse to be blinded by deception. They are trying to pull the wool over our eyes, but we will not let them.

Let me be clear: it is a travesty that in San Francisco—a city that should stand for justice and equality—it is no longer safe to be Black. While the Mayor speaks of being tough on crime, what this really means is being tough on marginalized, underserved, and underprivileged minorities—the people who don’t look like those in power.

This AI-driven process will make it harder, more costly, and nearly impossible to defend ourselves. It weaponizes technology against us. We must stand strong and say NO to this new form of injustice.

We demand justice that is fair, honest, and free from bias. There can never be true Justice in a Hall of Injustice– especially one built on the foundation of inequality and systemic racism that thrives by oppressing others. It’s simply modern-day slavery and oppression disguised as fairness, and we must refuse it….reject it now! We demand a system that protects all of us—not one that destroys our families and our futures.

Together, we will fight this travesty!

Together, we will protect our community!

Together, we will ensure that freedom and justice are not just words, but realities for everyone!

Don’t get it twisted, according to the US Constitution, we do have the right to protect ourselves in our homes (our sanctuaries).

Prosecutorial misconduct of the San Francisco District Attorney’s Office only deepens the wounds of injustice and strengthens our resolve. We demand accountability, transparency, and true fairness in the pursuit of justice. This is why we must, as a people, stand united in calling for Justice4KevinEpps!
