Remembering Melvin Dickson
Melvin Dickson was a writer, poet, author and organizer whose passing marked a sorrowful day for those who had the privilege to work alongside him. In order to give those community members their moment to reflect and honor our brother, a local community event was held Saturday, Nov. 17, to celebrate the life and legacy of Mr. Melvin Dickson. His recent passing this past October continues to be felt across the Black Panther Party community. Melvin Dickson was one of the longest active Party members, who then went on to found the Commemoration Committee for the Black Panther Party (CCBPP) in the early ‘90s.

This must be a slapstick thrown in to distract and confuse the audience who do not know their history and who probably believe it’s OK to share secrets with the U.S. government. Like Okoyo, the CIA is all about meddling in international affairs that threaten white supremacy and its economic and military dominance. Wakanda has a seat in the U.N. Council.

Piles of old papers rest on my desk, waiting to be read once again – a banquet of stories and pictures of our lives, our hopes, our goals. Let me let you taste the flavor of the freedom we continue to fight for in the age of Trump.

Wanda’s Picks for August 2010
I am excited about going back to Haiti, which I visited at the four-month anniversary of the earthquake. It has been six months now and from what we have heard and seen from trusted media, the situation is not any better and for many people it is worse.
