Greenaction Hiring Community Organizer-Policy Advocate for San Francisco Bay Climate & Environmental Justice Campaign:
Greenaction for Health and Environmental Justice is seeking to hire an experienced organizer for a full time Community Organizer and Policy Advocate staff position to coordinate and lead Greenaction’s San Francisco Bay Climate & Environmental Justice Campaign that seeks comprehensive cleanup of radioactive and toxic contamination sites along the bay waterfront where rising sea levels and groundwater threaten to inundate and spread contamination. While primarily focusing on the water quality/water justice campaign, the Organizer/Advocate will also work with our staff, community partner organizations and allies on a range of issues to protect the health and environment of low-income and working class communities impacted by climate change, pollution, environmental racism and injustice – including Bayview Hunters Point and Treasure Island.
