In his 22 years as the powerful man in Rwanda and 16 years as the president of Rwanda, Paul Kagame has proved to be not only a tyrant and dictator responsible for large scale human rights abuse with an extreme and effective way of crushing dissidents and political opponents. Yet he has spoken before at the Harvard University School of Business, where he is invited again as a speaker this coming weekend.
The truth must now be told. Paul Kagame, then overall commander of the Rwandan Patriotic Army (RPA), was personally responsible for shooting down the plane carrying President Juvenal Habyarimana home from a peace summit. His assassination triggered the Rwandan Genocide.
The argument over who has been most to blame for the bloodshed in recent East Central African history intensified even further this month with testimony by Rwandan President Paul Kagame’s former bodyguard, Aloys Ruyenzi, testified at the International Criminal Tribunal on Rwanda about “killing spots,” where Kagame's enemies are systematically executed.
The recent UNHCR Gimme Shelter campaign uses the iconic Rolling Stones song and Hollywood star Ben Affleck's video of suffering in Congo as a propaganda tool to peddle the international catastrophe of Western aid, intervention, plunder and depopulation in Central Africa.
