At age 77, Gloria has lived in the same house in Bayview for over 40 years. Despite being severely sight impaired, she remains an active member of the community by volunteering her time to read to kids in schools, taking modern dancing classes and swimming on a regular basis. Gloria’s lifestyle came to a halt, however, when she discovered that someone had stolen her identity.

There’s more mischief underway at community radio station KPFA. KPFA subscribers will soon be receiving ballots in the mail asking them to vote on whether media activist Tracy Rosenberg should be recalled from her seat on the KPFA board. This swiftboat-style attack on the station’s hardest working board member must be defeated!

For 17 hours – 4:45 p.m. Monday, July 4, until 9:45 a.m. Tuesday, July 5 – San Francisco Homes Not Jails took direct action conducting a second open housing occupation at the long-empty Mission District Sierra Hotel.
