The empirical tentacles of the U.S. and UN continue their strangle-hold on the Haitian people’s grassroots movement to create “a new vision of the republic rooted in justice, transparency and participation.” 

The Haitian people continue to resist the deadly slide into dictatorship – from the moment of the US-backed coup d’ etat against President Aristide on Feb. 29, 2004, to this very minute, with escalating massacres, extrajudicial killings, rapes and unchecked reign of terror against the people by the criminal regime of Jovenel Moise. Their cry is our call to action.

On March 19, 2020, shortly after international institutions announced that millions of dollars would be available to impoverished countries with COVID-19 cases, Haitian authorities finally addressed the coronavirus pandemic by declaring two cases in the country. Haitians were outraged by silence and inaction of authorities as news spread of preventative measures being implemented in neighboring Dominican Republic and other countries.

On Nov. 13, 2018, police and other paramilitary personnel entered the neighborhood of Lasalin in Port-au-Prince, Haiti. What followed was a massacre of the civilian population.

It is time for the U.S. to be held accountable for its continued support of the repressive regime now in power in Haiti: Wednesday, Oct. 2, at the Peckham Federal Building in San Jose, 280 S. First St, at 2:00 p.m.

On April 1, 2019, our team went to Lasalin and interviewed survivors and eye-witnesses of the November massacre. The report demonstrates that the Lasalin massacre was in fact an attack facilitated by government officials and directly conducted by Haitian National Police officers working closely with paramilitary elements.
